The next Common Agricultural Policy should be changed radically to increase spending for research, according to a British peer, Farmers’ Weekly reports.
Patrick Carter, chairman of the House of Lords’ agriculture, fisheries and environment EU sub-committee, was speaking in a Lords debate on 6 February.
