Member state leaders sign fiscal treaty

A group of 25 heads of state have agreed for tighter budget rules to be enshrined in national law, European Voice reports.

All EU countries except the Czech Republic and the UK signed the so- “Treaty on stability, co-ordination and governance in the economic and monetary union,” at a meeting held in Brussels on 2 March, following a pre-agreement in December.
