The Swiss agency for Development and Cooperation and the National Science Foundation have launched a ten-year programme for development research.
The programme, called r4d.ch, will distribute about €81 million (CHF 97.6m) between 2012 and 2022, with about one quarter coming from the science foundation and the rest coming from the development agency. The money will go to interdisciplinary research teams including at least one research group from Switzerland, and two from different developing countries.
