EuropaBio, a Brussels association representing the European biotechnology industry, has called on member states to support recent EU plans to speed up the development of so-called Key Enabling Technologies.
The lobby group is pleased that the European Commission’s communication “A European strategy for Key Enabling Technologies—A bridge to growth and jobs”, released on 26 June, includes industrial biotechnology as a driver for jobs and growth in Europe.
