Cerviño becomes European Patent Office vice-president

Alberto Casado Cerviño, director-general of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, has been appointed vice-president of the European Patent Office.

Cerviño takes over from Peter Vermeij and will be in charge of the EPO’s directorate-general operational support for the next five years. He was appinted by the EPO’s administrative council on 28 June.
