EU research commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn has said that the European Commission’s plans to complete the European Research Area would be released “very shortly”.
In March, Geoghegan-Quinn had said that the ERA communication would be released “by mid-2012”, following a public consultation on the subject last year and the announcement in January of non-binding “ERA pacts”, to be signed by research organisations.
