EMA disappointed with response to call for volunteers

The European Medicines Agency has made a second request for health professionals and patient representatives to sit on two of its main advisory committees.

An initial call for volunteers for the EMA’s Committee for Advanced Therapies and for its Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee was made in September 2011. The second call is being made at the request of the European Parliament because the initial announcement led to a low number of expressions of interest.
