ESA plans space clean up

The European Space Agency has launched the Clean Space initiative designed to reduce the amount of rubbish orbiting the Earth. The agency says it will work with the space industry to develop technologies to keep space clean. Ideas include new tools to assess environmental effects, the use of more eco-friendly materials and techniques in space, and ways to stop making more space debris and reduce what’s already there.
