Medicines agency appoints head of drug safety and efficacy

Enrica Alteri, a medical doctor from Italy, has been appointed head of safety and efficacy of medicines at the European Medicines Agency.

Alteri has previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as head of risk management and epidemiology at Merck-Serono in Geneva, Switzerland.
