Baltic innovation fund launched

The European Investment Fund, a group owned by the European Investment Bank and dedicated to providing finance to small businesses, has launched a €100 million initiative to encourage investment in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

The fund aims to develop equity investment in small and medium sized businesses over the next four years. Contributions to the fund consisted of €40 million form the EIF and €20 million from national agencies in each country involved.
