Public funding agencies and private investors need to work together to help bring innovation to market, according to Okan Kara, chairman of Eureka, a European funding network promoting innovation across Europe.
In a statement published on the Eureka website, Kara emphasised that many start-ups begin with funding from public agencies, but encounter a financing gap when they need to then take their technology to market. Bridging that gap requires linking private investors with public organisations, he said.
