The European Commission has asked an advisory panel to conduct a three-year review of university education. The review will involve consultation with representatives from higher education, government and businesses on how best to achieve excellence in teaching. The exercise forms part of the Commission’s Higher Education Modernisation Agenda, which will also include the introduction of the European university ranking system in 2013.
