Veterinary science students are Austria’s most expensive

Austrian universities would receive up to five times as much money for veterinary science students as for law or economics students under government spending plans announced earlier this month.

Die Presse reports that it has seen draft budget plans, which allocate between €6,300 and €29,500 for each veterinary science student at an Austrian university. The budget plans are part of a revamping of Austrian higher education financing, which will be based on three funding pillars: science, infrastructure and teaching.
