Bulgaria’s minister for science and education, Sergei Ignatov, was fired on Monday 28 January following a government report on corruption in science funding and hiring procedures, ScienceInsider has reported.
The head of the Bulgarian National Science Fund (BNSF) stepped down the same day, having submitted his resignation over the weekend, the article said.
