The European Investment Bank (EIB) has agreed to lend €500 million to Slovenia to provide additional financing for EU-funded projects.
The majority of the projects are in the areas of transport, research and development, and innovation, according to an EIB statement. The projects that will receive the extra support are funded by cohesion and structural funds from the EU. The amount is the largest of this kind Slovenia has ever received.
