The European Commission is exploring the possibility of developing a network of research institutions to provide scientific information on the development of the Arctic region.
The Commission has allocated €1 million for an 18-month feasibility study to determine the effectiveness, functionality and sustainability of the network, which would be called the EU Arctic Information Centre.
