ICT improves care, say social scientists

Health and social care in Europe need to incorporate information and communication technology to provide better services, according to the European Science Foundation (ESF).

An ESF position paper highlights a pressing need to improve services across Europe as the population ages. It concludes that better ICT usage, which is already in place in other areas to provide more customised service and effective use of resources, would benefit health and social care services.
