Austria's national foundation for research, technology and development said it will distributes about €83 million this year, representing an 18.5-per-cent increase on its 2012 spend.
The foundation’s money goes to national science organisations including the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), the Austrian research promotion agency (FFG) and the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), on top of contributions by the federal government.
