EADS gets €300m research loan from European bank

The European Investment Bank has granted a €300-million R&D loan to aerospace group EADS.

This comes after a first €500m agreement signed in August 2011, bringing the total amount EADS received to €800m.

EADS says that the money will fund the development of products aimed at reducing the impact of aviation on the environment in terms of noise, energy use and air pollution.
