The European Science Foundation has cut off payments to Spanish researchers because of the country’s outstanding membership fees, ScienceInsider has reported.
The decision means that researchers hoping to organise conferences and workshops will be unable to secure funds from the foundation, which is an membership organisation that encourages scientific collaboration across Europe.
