Europe needs to make major changes to its health systems to benefit from personalised approaches to healthcare, the Irish health minister has said.
Europe is “losing a lot of research from Europe because of red tape”, because EU regulations are holding back innovations in the area, said James Reilly, Ireland’s minister for health, at a conference held last week in Dublin. The event, Innovation and Patient Access to Personalised Medicine, was organised by the European Alliance for Personalized Medicine under the Irish presidency of the EU.
