The grant scheme prioritising the US institution’s hidden treasures

The Baird Society Resident Scholar Programme supports scholarship on the untapped resources of major collections in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC and New York.

Successful scholars are awarded stipends of $3,500 (€3,180) per month for up to six months. The scheme is open to scholars anywhere in the world—barring US immigration restrictions—who can write and converse fluently in English.
