The European Commission has published answers to a set of frequently asked questions about its European Research Area Chairs programme.
The programme is open to institutions in the less-developed member states and provides financial support to enable these institutions to attract top researchers.
The programme is in a pilot stage and has a budget of €12 million from FP7. If successful, it could be expanded under Horizon 2020.
