The French government has issued a call for expressions of interest to develop geothermal energy technologies.
The 7 October call involves investment of €1.35 billion as part of an overall plan to achieve a six-fold increase in geothermal heat-production by 2020. Particular emphasis is being placed on its use in France’s overseas territories.
