Environmental research institute Cemagref has adopted a new name to mark its 30th birthday.
The institute will now be known as Irstea—the National Institute for Research in Environmental and Agricultural Science and Technology.
The organisation issued a statement on 28 November stating that it has successfully supported multidisciplinary work in important fields since 1981 but has suffered from a lack of visibility for 15 years. It hopes to make its work better known by adopting a new identity.
