Greenpeace activists attempt entry to power plants

Activists representing campaign group Greenpeace attempted to gain access to a number of French nuclear power stations on 5 December.

The group released a statement saying that its members had acted to prove that security at the plants is inadequate. It says that activists managed to gain entry to sites in Nogent sur Seine, near Paris and Cruas in southeast France, where they remained undetected for several hours, proving the “extreme vulnerability” of the sites.
