Inserm appoints deputy director

Inserm, France’s flagship biomedical research agency, has appointed a microbiologist, Thierry Damerval, as its deputy director general, it was announced on 23 June.

Damerval, deputy director general for strategy at the agency, takes on the responsibilities of Hervé Douchin, Inserm’s chief administrator, who is moving to another role.
