French research minister Geneviève Fioraso has issued a statement to refute claims that Sciences Po, the elite Paris-based university, is going ahead with the appointment of a president against her wishes.
Media reports last week said that the university was not delaying recruitment despite warnings from Fioraso that it should wait for a report on its management that is to be published by the national audit office, the Cour des Comptes, in November.
