France-based physicist shares Nobel prize

Serge Haroche, a Moroccan physicist based at the Collège de France and the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, has been named as one of the two winners of the 2012 Nobel Prize for physics.

Haroche shares the prize with David J. Wineland, from the US National Institute of Standards and Technology and the University of Colorado Boulder.
