France is ready to play its part in a global collaboration to tackle some of the biggest scientific challenges of our age, research minister Geneviève Fioraso has said on a trip to Japan.
The minister said that global problems such as climate change and health are tackled first by working at a local level and then collaborating.
Fioraso was in Japan to attend a conference on ‘Science and technology for the future of humankind’, hosted by the Science and Technology for Society forum in Kyoto on 7-9 October.
