Haemotologist is female scientist of the year

Paediatric haematologist Marina Cavazzana-Calvo has been named France’s female scientist of the year in the 2012 Irène Joliot-Curie awards.

Cavazzana-Calvo, head of the Department of Biotherapy at Necker Children’s Hospital in Paris, receives a €400,000 prize.
