France’s national institute for research in information technology, Inria has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian Government's department of science and technology.
The agreement, the Joint Targeted Programme in Information and Communication Science & Technology, was signed during the India-France Technology Summit in New Delhi held on 23-24 October. It aims to strengthen existing programmes between the two countries, support the creation of new projects and facilitate exchanges of researchers and students from both countries.
Existing joint programmes include the Indo-French Centre for Applied Mathematics, which is an international research unit organised on the French side by the France’s national research centre the CNRS, and the Indo-French Formal Methods Lab that focuses on computer science theory.
