Young researchers set priorities for better working conditions

Prevention of irresponsible or illegal contracts for young researchers is a priority for the French Confederation of Young Researchers, the organisation has said.

The group says it plans to publicise good practices in its publication Doctorate under the Microscope. It will work towards gender equality for young researchers, and fight discrimination that affects young researchers from other countries who work in France.

The confederation has previously voiced its disapproval of the practice of universities allowing doctoral students to work without pay, among other issues.
