Minister seeks to move away from public-private finance deals, as campus project relaunches

Geneviève Fioraso, France’s research and higher education minister, has said she wants to move away from public-private partnerships to finance major university campuses across France.

At a meeting with the board in charge of developing one such project in Paris, on 11 March, Fioraso said that the Condorcet campus would still be developed with private involvement but with a stronger emphasis on the public side. It will be the only project in Paris to include an element of public-private partnership.
