Hollande seeks advice on innovation

France's president François Hollande has appointed a panel of industrialists, scientists and economists to advise him on innovation.

The Innovation 2030 panel is made up of 20 members led by Anne Lauvergeon, former chief executive of nuclear power firm Areva.

Between now and the summer, it is charged with producing a list of sectors and technologies in which France is most likely to become a world leader and which could produce the greatest economic returns and jobs.
