The director of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques d'Aix-en-Provence has resigned following criticism of the institute's outsourcing of masters programmes.
Christian Duval announced on 19 November that he would leave his post after a meeting of the institute’s council on 6 November.
The institute has been criticised for outsourcing several masters programmes to institutions abroad. The overseas institutions charged substantial fees, and the transparency and quality of the programmes was called into question. Several faculty members of the institute resigned over the issue.
