France has set up a website to help international alumni stay in contact with its universities and industry.
Francealumni.fr was launched in Paris on 26 November in the presence of 400 participants from universities, industry and politics. The online network will advertise training, scholarships, internships and employment opportunities to international alumni, as well as helping them to stay in touch with French news and events.
The network was set up and will be run by Campus France, the national agency for the promotion of higher education. Geneviève Fioraso, the state secretary for research and higher education, and Laurent Fabius, the minister for foreign affairs and international development, helped to launch the website. At the event, Fabius said it would “multiply France’s global influence”.
