Anne-Sophie Barthez, president of the University of Paris-Seine grouping, has been appointed special adviser on training under research minister Frédérique Vidal.
Barthez’s appointment, along with six other special adviser appointments, was announced by the government on 9 June.
Barthez has been president of the Paris-Seine grouping since its formation in 2015. The grouping incorporates 13 universities and research institutions.. A law professor, Barthez had been president of the University of Paris-Seine’s forerunner, West Paris University (UPGO), since 2012.
