Do more to go digital, universities told

French universities are slipping behind their international competitors in adopting to the digital age, according to a pro-business think tank.

In its report on digitisation in French higher education published on 28 June, the business-funded Institut Montaigne said that French universities’ adaptation to the digital revolution had been “too slow, while the rest of the world is busy undergoing rapid change”.

If France did not act fast to make up for lost time, it would lose its attractiveness as a place for hi-tech investment, the report said.
