Germany’s ministry of education and research will run a call to attract top climate researchers as part of Make Our Planet Great Again, the scheme launched by French president Emmanuel Macron.
The German ministry confirmed its participation in the scheme on 13 July, after meetings between ministers from the two nations in Paris.
Under the Franco-German Fellowship Programme, the two countries will “organise joint networking activities for the laureates in order to encourage networking between the laureates and with other international researchers in their discipline”, the German government statement said.
