Minister sings praise of Schneider Electric lab

Energy infrastructure company Schneider Electric has opened an R&D centre in Grenoble, in the presence of research minister Frédérique Vidal.

The centre, which is the result of a €120-million investment by the company, was inaugurated on 12 July. It has 7,700 square metres of lab space and will house 950 employees. It is a part of the company’s “GreenOvalley” project that will merge the company’s 13 offices into five sites to increase energy efficiency.

In her speech at the event, Vidal lavished praise on the company for its commitment to the local government’s environment plan and its partnerships with local universities.
