France’s largest publicly funded research organisation, the CNRS, has concluded an investigation into alleged scientific misconduct by senior researchers Olivier Voinnet and Patrice Dunoyer, penalising both men.
The CNRS announced on 3 October that both Voinnet and Dunoyer had been penalised following what it called “an in-depth examination of the scientific practices and approaches of the two researchers”.
The disciplinary measures related to corrections that the researchers made to some of their research papers in response to “lapses” for which they were disciplined in 2015, the CNRS said.
