The CEA, France’s public research organisation for energy, defence and technology, is to set up a joint research centre with technology company Siemens to focus on the internet of things and cybersecurity.
The MindSphere centre will be based at the Paris-Saclay University campus, the CEA announced on 28 March. Much of the research at the centre will focus on MindSphere, an open internet-of-things operating system developed by Siemens.
French start-up companies will also be invited to work at the centre, the CEA said, and it will house around 100 staff when fully operational.
