France’s two overarching alliances of biomedical and social science research organisations are joining up to oversee the country’s research into sexual health.
Aviesan, an alliance of life science and health institutions, and the social science alliance Athena will team up as part of the government’s strategic plan for sexual health, which was published on 9 April.
In the strategy, the government acknowledged that France has previously lacked a coordinated research plan for tackling sexual health, which has instead fallen under the jurisdiction of several public health agencies.
