National Centre for Scientific Research says it is ready to take on future challenges
The CNRS, France’s National Centre for Scientific Research, has said it is preparing for the challenges of the future as it celebrates its 80th birthday.
The centre was founded on 19 October 1939, just after the start of the second world war. During its birthday celebrations in La Villette, Paris, from 25-27 October, the centre’s leaders promised they would look into the future, with a symposium entitled New Worlds: Repairing, Reinventing and Re-enchanting.
