Engineering schools put finishing touches on partnership deal

The Institut Mines-Télécom group of institutions and the Sigma Clermont engineering school have signed a deal pledging closer union in four areas, including research.

The deal will mean that the IMT, which runs 13 engineering and graduate schools in France, will work with Sigma Clermont in central France to develop joint research programmes in industrial engineering, digital technologies and ecology.

Sigma Clermont and three of the IMT’s engineering schools are already engaged in a joint research unit and several joint research projects, but the deal will tighten the collaboration, according to a joint statement published on 6 May.
