Sciences Po top of the tweeters

The Paris-based politics and economics grande école Sciences Po has comfortably won first place in a ranking of French higher education institutions’ influence on Twitter.

The study, performed by consultants Headway Advisory and published in the newspaper Le Figaro on 5 June, gave grandes écoles and universities a score out of 100 based on their number of followers and retweets and who did the following and retweeting.

On 79 points, Sciences Po Paris beat its nearest rival, the HEC Paris business school, by six points to clinch the top prize. There was a tie for third place, with the École Polytechnique engineering school, the University of Lorraine and the Pantheon-Sorbonne University (also known as University of Paris 1) level on 71 points.
