The INSA Lyon engineering school has followed Lyon 2 University by pulling out of a planned merger of universities and grandes écoles in the region.
The INSA Lyon board rejected an agreement committing to the merger with the four other core members of the Idex Lyon partnership at a board meeting on 27 June, the news service EducPros reported on 5 July.
The board said it “still supported a merged university [in Lyon] with which INSA Lyon will collaborate”, EducPros reported.
