Students face wave of delays despite presidents promising normal run of January exams
A month of public transport strikes has seen numerous French universities postpone exams—with one even opening a gym hall to offer students a place to sleep.
Mid-term exams due by 6 January were postponed, as many students failed to make it to campus due to transport chaos. The University Panthéon-Sorbonne in Paris moved exams to begin on 13 January and run into February. It also postponed the start of the new semester.
