France announces 17 winners of “translational medical research” call to improve takeup of results
The French government has announced the winners of grants of between €4-10 million for “translational” projects that bridge the gap between basic and clinical research.
The 17 winning projects comprise partnerships between 150 organisations, including 28 health institutions and 52 businesses. Out of the call’s €142m budget, €32m will be distributed to businesses partnering with university hospitals, with a further €28m destined for startups and small businesses.
